This week, students will combine watercolor painting and sketching to create a beautiful scene of birds on a wire.
They’ll begin by:
✨ Painting a vibrant sky background—choosing from sunset, rainbow, or stormy skies
✨ Sketching birds perched on a wire in silhouette style
✨ Filling in the birds with solid black for striking contrast
If time allows, we’ll explore more watercolor techniques by creating mini artworks like bookmarks and cards.
Skills covered: watercolor washes, creating gradients, shape and proportion, and silhouette design.
